Team Blog: the Paris Motor Show

This first week of October has Addionics in Paris representing the company at the motor show and at the Mondial.Tech Startup Awards Final. But this event came with more than just one pitch and we got to participate in a wide variety of activities as well as engage with a range of actors of our industry.

The first event of the was the opening of the Mondial by its president and his special guest Carlos Ghosn (CEO of Renault, CEO of Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, former CEO of Nissan) and Carlos Tavares (CEO of PSA group: Peugeot, DS, Citroen, Opel, Vauxhall). It was captivating to listen to their views on the future of the automotive industry.

The week followed with various highlights such as the Innovatech conference bringing together some of the best of the Israeli startup eco-system to speak on Mondial.tech's main stage. The event also saw, later on in the week, the CES take over part of the exhibition hall to present French technology and give a sneak peek into their main event in Las Vegas. Event to which we are thrilled to attend and highly look forward to.

The trip concluded on an evening of exchange with all the other finalists cross-categories and allowed us to engage even more on the full innovation scope of our industry. It was also a pleasure to meet fellow Israeli entrepreneurs at the Association Technion France afterwork event for Israeli startupists present in Paris for the various events that week.

With three of us being present, we were able to take shifts on the stand and go explore the whole industry exhibiting their latest products. We all had a favourite. For Moshiel it was with no doubt the Peugeot E-legend, a fantastic concept car. Daniel went for the classic Ferrari Monza SP-1 while Gidi was more down-to-earth and laid his eyes on the 2019 Suzuki Jimny. Only downside, these cars aren't yet available in electric powertrain and should definitely benefit from Addionics' solution.

Addionics take on the event:

This event was an open door to an industry we are focusing on. It has been an opportunity for the company to generate many leads that we hope to disclose at later stages. It was also a good time for us to reflect on the value of such events and refine our selection for future invitations.
