General job description:


Addionics is looking to employ a R&D facility assistant to work on the development of electrochemical methods for fabrication of battery components. This work will be carried out under the guidance and management of Senior Electrochemist within the offices based in Central London and will also involve collaborations with various industrial partners as well as with Addionics’ team in Israel.
 

Main duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare electrodes and electrolytes for electroplating

  • Operate mechanical and electrochemical testing equipment

  • Maintain equipment and manage chemicals inventory

  • Analyse and test prepared samples

  • Keep accurate records of work undertaken

  • Write regular reports

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant working and safety instructions

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team

  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the company

 

Experience and qualifications:

  • BSc or similar in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science

  • Basic knowledge of electrochemistry and electrochemical methods

  • Experience of working in laboratory environment

  • Ability to analyse experimental data

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team

  • Understanding of good laboratory practices

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills logo
