Electrochemist – Electrode Coating Researcher / Tel Aviv

At Addionics, a fast-growing startup, we are revolutionizing battery technology. Our smart 3D cell design will allow a step-change in battery performance. By focusing on battery physics we can achieve higher energy density, lower charging time, and improved heat safety. We are a venture-backed startup based in London and Tel Aviv, at an exciting growth stage.

 

We are looking for an experienced electrochemist with commercial experience within an R&D laboratory.

You will report to the VP R&D and work in collaboration with the Israeli and the UK-based teams.

 

Responsibilities: 

• Set up a coating lab within the R&D department

• Develop and optimize coating methods and processes for the Addionics 3D electrodes

• Take part in Spec’s definition for the Addionics electrodes

• Develop screening methods for the Addionics electrodes

• Become a subject matter expert in the field of electrodes coating and support the rest of the team

• Cooperate with partners who work on the scaling up of the coating process in a production environment
   

Pre-requisites (must): 

• Ph.D. in Electrochemistry in a battery-related subject (candidates with equivalent master’s degree and 5 years experience will be considered as well)

• Deep theoretical and practical understanding of battery structure, electrodes coating, coating qualification, testing methods, and production processes

• Experience in product development in a commercial environment 

• Team player with excellent communication skills

• Ability to work, develop and implement ideas with minimal supervision 

 

Advantages:

• Background in the areas of solid-state electrochemistry, or interfacial surface science

• Scaling up experience

• Practical work experience in rechargeable cells facility

אנו מחפשים אלקטרוכימאי.ת מנוסה עם ניסיון במעבדת מו"פ בסביבה "תעשיתית"-

דיווח לסמנכ"ל המו"פ ועבודה בשיתוף פעולה עם הצוות הישראלי והצוות הממוקם בבריטניה.

תחומי אחריות:

• הקמת מעבדת ציפויים במחלקת המחקר והפיתוח

• פיתוח ושיפור שיטות ותהליכי ציפוי לאוספי הזרם של אדיוניקס

• השתתפות בהגדרת המפרטים של אוספי הזרם שלנו

• פיתוח שיטות לאיפיון ומיון אוספי הזרם שלנו

• להיות מקור ידע מרכזי בחברה בכל הקשור לציפוי אלקטרודות ותמיכה באחרים בתחום זה

• שיתוף פעולה עם גורמי חוץ הפועלים להכנסה של אוספי הזרם שלנו לקווי יצור 

• השתתפות בתכנון תהליכי ומערכי ייצור, שיבטיחו יכולות ייצור המוני באיכות ובמחירים הנדרשים

דרישות קדם בסיסיות:

• Ph.D. באלקטרוכימיה בתחומים הקשורים לסוללות נטענות (תישקל גם מועמדותם של מועמדים.ות עם תואר שני מקביל  ניסיון רלוונטי עשיר בתעשייה).

• הבנה תיאורטית ומעשית של מבנה סוללות, ציפוי אלקטרודות, אפיון תוצאות ציפוי ותהליכי ייצור רלוונטיים

• ניסיון בפיתוח מוצרים בסביבה מסחרית

• שחקן.ית צוות עם יכולות תקשורת טובות

• יכולת עבודה עצמאית ויישום רעיונות עם הנחייה מינימלית
